Rumor: 'Army of Four' in development
by Steve Watts, Mar 05, 2012 8:45am PSTArmy of Two and its sequel, The 40th Day were moderately successful. So what's a publisher to do? Double-down on it, of course. A new rumor is circulating that "Army of Four" is in development, after a Twitter slip from a voice actor.
Joe Flanigan (Stargate: Atlantis) tweeted that he signed on to do "AO4" for Electronic Arts. At first he called it a spin-off of the Battlefield franchise, but quickly corrected himself.
Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts. Some splinter from Battlefield. Finally, my kids think I am cool again— Joe Flanigan (@JoeFlanigan) March 3, 2012
"AO4" could stand for anything, but Joystiq places its bets on "Army of Four." Shacknews has contacted EA regarding the rumor, and will update as more information becomes available.
