Zone of the Enders HD Collection coming this Fall

In spite of having already announced it, Konami sent Shacknews a press release with the headline: KONAMI ANNOUNCES ZONE OF THE ENDERS HD COLLECTION. Hmm.

As already revealed by Konami, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection includes remastered versions of the two main Zone of the Enders games for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Collection will also include The 2nd Runner, content not seen in the States before.

The Konami press release confirms a Fall release for the bundle for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Oddly, it omits mention of a Vita version of the collection--also confirmed to be in development. As expected, the HD re-release will include brand new trophies and achievements, as well as a new animated intro created by Sunrise.

        I think that comma shouldn't be there. There was a special edition release of The 2nd Runner in europe and Japan that had some extra content.

        Not at all. It's probably mine, next to Diablo 3 and The Last Guardian if it even comes out this year. As forgettable as the first was, I loved 2nd Runner. One of my favorite games ever. I just hope the HD collection just means a third game is on the way. :[

          I know what you mean, I had multiple saves so I could play my favorite levels in 2nd over and over again. Like that big ass battle. Still one of the best moments in a video game for me.

        what?? by most accounts that's backwards. the second one is amazing. though admittedly I've never played the first one.

        doesn't the first game have a kinda whiny kid in it? I'd rather play as Dingo Fucking Egret than that kid.

          Yeah, exactly - I don't understand the logic. here. The second game was better on essentially every conceivable level.

      the thing I'm curious about is: are the anime cutscenes gonna be somehow HD? I kinda doubt it, but it'd be cool if they were...

        Well if they have the originals it might not be a big deal to remaster them in HD.

          All the more reason the Japanese language track should be included in the HD collection. :[
