What if you had Adolf Hitler in the sights of your sniper rifle, ready to take down the Fuhrer and drastically change World War 2? Then you, my friend, would probably be playing the pre-order bonus DLC for Sniper Elite V2, which gives a surreal opportunity to pick off the head of Nazi Germany himself. "Intel has been received that Hitler is returning from Berchtesgaden to Berlin via his personal train. Players must intercept the train as it waits at the station and take down the Fuhrer as he hastily makes way for the station on foot," publisher 505 Games explains. "There is only one opportunity to snipe Hitler and do what so many wish had been done - make it count." The snappily-named 'Assassinate The Fuhrer - Kill Hitler DLC Pack' also adds two extra guns, the Soviet SVT-40 battle rifle and the German Kar 98 service rifle--for all your Hitler-killing needs. Developed by Rebellion, Sniper Elite V2 is headed to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 1. The game was originally announced as a console exclusive, but is also coming to PC.

I enjoyed the first sniper elite, but the graphics really don't hold up well. The controls were a little odd as well. the sniping was solid.

No Hitler = Europe speaking Russian today. Hitler's madness/genius was attacking the Soviets and drawing them into a bloody war of attrition. Stalin had plans to invade Europe as soon as he signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

Umm no Stalin didn't. If Stalin had designs to invade Europe, why were his biggest concentrations of troops in eastern Russia defending against a possible Japanese invasion?

He was paranoid that the Japanese would invade eastern Russia to the point that he ignored intelligence from Richard Sorge (who was spying for the Soviets in Japan) that said Japan had no intention of invading the Soviet Union. His paranoia of the Japanese was one of the reasons he signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop treaty as he did not want to risk a two front war with Germany and Japan...he knew his military wasn't ready for such a war after he had purged most of his officer corps.

Read "The Sword And The Shield" which is the best source for Stalin's thinking pre WWII.

Nah, Stalin was no fan of "the west", but he never had plans to invade Europe. That said, he knew war with Germany was inevitable and felt he had tricked Hitler or at least bought time by signing Molotov-Ribbentrop to build/rebuild his army.

Of course, Hitler thought the same.

That is actually what I thought was so clever about Germany's invasion. There equipment was such shit that when a tank broke down instead of leaving it there and allowing people to see a broken down tank, they set up around the tank to make it look like they intended to stop there.

I have the pc version but the way it controls is pretty crappy, then I started looking for any of the console versions and they jacked up the price for it!
