Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet playsets at Del Taco

Del Taco is now packaging Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet boards and static clings in its kid's meals.

Some things are just naturally meant to be together: chocolate and peanut butter; turkey and gravy; indie games and tacos. The Xbox Live Arcade title Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is teaming up with Del Taco, a fast food shop that serves objects technically identifiable as tacos.

Joystiq reports that Del Taco is giving out sticker boards and static clings themed after ITSP in their kid's meals. To be fair, the design of ITSP lends itself to the toys pretty well, and designer Michel Gagne seems pleased on his blog. "I provided them with high resolution art files and some layout mock-ups," he said, "and from there, the Idea Planet designers did a mighty fine job putting the final package together!"

It's hard not to wonder who approached who for this deal. Either someone on the marketing team of Del Taco is into Xbox Live Arcade, or someone at Fuelcell Games feels pretty passionately about tacos. Either way, we want to hear the story.
