Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus hitting PSN and XBLA
by Steve Watts, Feb 17, 2012 5:15pm PSTGuilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is being ported to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a downloadable title, at least in its homeland. The PS2 fighting classic from 2008 is being ported to arcade, and that new arcade version will serve as the basis for the console releases.
Andriasang reports that the announcement came from publisher Arc System Works at the AOU Amusement Expo in Chiba, Japan. Details are still forthcoming, but Arc has said that the home console version will include network play. Plus, "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus" isn't necessarily the final name.
The original console version of GGXXACP received a generally positive critical reception and was well-regarded among fighting fans. This news only applies to Japan for now, but we'll update as more information on the game and a potential western release becomes available.
