        That's just Green Man Gaming being a really effective new force in the digital distribution scene. A pretty big portion of the major releases in the past year have been available anywhere from 20-50% either before release or just after from them, which is especially awesome considering a lot of what they sell are Steam keys.

        Saints Row 3, Deus Ex: HR, Batman: AC were all discounted by around $20 at one point or another before they even came out... Puts the standard "10% off pre-orders" crap everyone else does to shame. They've even had a couple 50% off sales for Skyrim in the past few months, though the quantities they could offer were small.

          I bought all of the titles you mentioned from GMG. Those kind of preorder discounts completely disabled what little resistance I had.

        I've posted OnLive sales before, but people don't really seem interested.

        Plus, their sales have seemed infrequent and sometimes entirely boring, so I forget to check.

        because its a useless service as long as the resolution of the transmitted image cannot remotely reach what we typically play at. its audience is laptop/notebook users. And i'm not talking about the video codec or the mouse accel/input delay or lack of options - those are acceptable for what its doing. But why would i pay for a service that provides inferior resolution / ugly image quality when i dont have to otherwise?? i have 50 mbps down and up btw so my internet is not the issue. they just dont do 1080p., and coupled with the video codec pixelization, input delay, and lack of options... its a no brainer to just go the way of standard digital distribution. maybe one day..
