Final Fantasy XIII-2 is getting another optional character as downloadable content, as Square Enix has announced a date and price for the "Sazh: Heads or Tails?" DLC today. The world-weary father will be available on February 28 for $4.99 (400 MSP). "Heads or Tails" is a separate story episode that shows what he was up to during Noel and Serah's adventure. At the end of the adventure, you'll get to keep him in your party--continuing the reunion of previous FFXIII characters. The DLC will also include two new card games for the Serendipity casino: Chronobind and Serendipity Poker. February 28 will also see the release of the Spacetime Guardian outfit for Noel, and Beachwear for Serah. Yes, beachwear. Each costume will cost $2.99 (240 MSP).

Square Enix is charging fans $3 to see Serah in less clothing

This will be the first story-centric piece of DLC, but Square Enix has hinted at other episodes. We know a story episode is coming for Lightning on top of her existing DLC, and others centering on characters like Chocolina may follow. These are serving to fill in some of the details of XIII-2, but we may still see XIII-3 to continue the overarching plot.

Character/story DLC always makes me want to wait until a reduced price 'ultimate edition'. I really don't want to play single player games piece meal.

I might buy this one, because I still haven't finished the game yet so I'll be able to just play it straight afterwards. But once I've stopped playing for a few weeks, I have no intention of going back for little bits of story stuff, it would have to be something quite big.
