Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a gorgeous PS3 RPG from Level-5, developers of Dragon Quest VIII and Professor Layton. The project has been one of our most anticipated games of the year, thanks to its unique collaboration with legendary Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli.

Unfortunately, Namco Bandai announced that the US version is no longer planned for "early 2012." Instead, we can expect it by "winter."

"Our top priority for the Western release of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is to localize the game with the same level of quality and attention to detail that fans of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli have come to expect," Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino said in a press release. But just in case the English language track isn't up to snuff, you'll be able to play the game in both English and Japanese voiceovers, Namco Bandai confirmed.

Ni no Kuni will be available exclusively for the PS3.

I'm not sure. You may want to learn some basic Japanese and send an email to the developers and see what they have to say.

If you can deal with not understanding 80% of the story, you can be like me and be playing the game NOW!

all that aside, I'm actually having a blast playing this game. the boss battles are just the right amount of travelling, the world is absolutely gorgeous, and the story (as much as I can surmise) is awesome and engaging.

plus, it comes with a sweet book with better production value and art than anything I've seen come free with a game in a LONG time.

I've been a PC gamer for life, and this is the game that I'd get a PS3 for.
