If you've been in the board game section of a department store in the last few years, you've probably noticed that Hasbro has made a wide variety of Monopoly and RISK variants with franchise tie-ins. Now World of Warcraft and StarCraft are joining the line-up, with their own themed board games.

At Toy Fair 2012 in New York this past weekend, Blizzard announced a partnership with USAOPOLY (under the Hasbro license) to produce Monopoly: World of Warcraft and RISK: StarCraft. Both with have special pieces to reflect their unique universes.

Monopoly WoW will feature real estate from the game like the Twilight Highlands, Grizzly Hills, and the Swamp of Sorrows, a red and blue die to represent the factions, and custom molded hotel pieces. Fans can vote from ten game piece options on the WoW Facebook page, and the most popular six will be included in the game when it launches this May for an MSRP of $39.95.

RISK: StarCraft will include the Terran, Protoss, and Zerg factions, along with six heroes for use in play. It will launch this summer at an MSRP of $49.45.

The 'Sarlac' wannabe is actually in both, but I'm pretty sure Kivohime is right and that that particular angle is from the 5-man Dungeon.
