LittleBigPlanet Karting coming to PS3 with Move wheel support

Future Shop, a Canadian games retailer, has leaked details on "LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing."

There's been no shortage of platformers-turned-racers in the history of video gaming. Ever since Mario jumped into a kart, we've seen Diddy Kong, Jak, and countless other mascots take their turn on the wheel. Is it Sackboy's turn next? Maybe. Future Shop, a Canadian video game retailer, has been tweeting from Destination PlayStation--a retail-oriented marketing event. While most of the revelations have been unsurprising, the retailer also detailed "LittleBigPlanet Cart Racing." "Destination Little Big Planet Cart racing announced for ps3. Move compatible wheel and 3D capable!," the tweet reads. A steering wheel attachment for the PlayStation Move would likely resemble the plastic accessory included with copies of Mario Kart Wii. While there's little reason to doubt the source, a LittleBigPlanet racing game would be an oddity, given the existence of ModNation Racers, an established Sony kart racing brand that also offers user-generated content. Is LBP Kart being developed in lieu of a proper ModNation Racers sequel? We know that MNR developer United Front is working on a racing game exclusively for PS3. This may be the mystery title. Update: A tweet from PSN Stores shows off a retail poster:

LittleBigPlanet Karting

I really want this to be true. I like the idea of ModNation, but the load times in the demo (installed to my HD no less) were terribad and when I asked if they were ever fixed in a patch around here no one ever seemed to say "yes" so it remains unbought.

I love LBP and would definitely pick up a LBP kart racer. :)
