Finally some time to relax from a pretty busy week, although I have enough to do this weekend but it'll be all Shack related :) Started that Deus Ex demo download a while ago, its gonna take me another hour and a half or so, my cable modem = suckage.

Rosewood (as well as RiPT) sent word of another "shit" story, about dung-spitting championships in England. The CNN story includes video footage. That's like, pretty nasty imho.

Oh and for another random story but since so many people here liked The Matrix, IGN FilmForce is reporting that Hong Kong action star Jet Li will be appearing in the sequels (filming should start this fall for those). That'd be pretty cool, as his moves are just great in a movie like that.

OK guys. My amazingly wonderful, completely supportive, actually listens to me, greatest thing since sliced bread girlfriend just gave me a brand new Geforce 2 for my birthday. I would like to run some timedemos before and after to see exactly how much more cool this card is than my TNT2/U. Problem is, I have no clue how to run a damn timedemo. can anybody tell me the console commands, as well as where to grab a good demo to use?

Hey guys - take a look at this. 3dfx Winamp skin! hehe, it's pretty damn sleek, too much of the 3dfx crap in it (V3 box, 3dfx logo)... it's got a Q3 logo in there for some reason, and they guy who made it likes transparent textures or something so when you want to dock your playlist to the main menu or whatever you have to kind of guess.

And #30, just fire up Q3 (I assume you mean Q3), bring down the console and do the following:

/timedemo 1
/demo (demoname)

That's it. Then wait til the demo finishes and bring down the console again and read the avg fps number, that's your timedemo score.

Like anyone couldn't see the Jet Li thing coming. Hell, a lot of the Matrix was fairly blatently "inspired" by Jet Li movies, esp. Fist of Legend. Not the plotline necessarily, but the hand-to-hand combat. Except Jet Li makes Keanu/Lawrence look like snails in comparison...either way, he should be an awesome addition to the mix...maybe he'll play the ultimate badass agent?
