Capcom's long-running courtroom adventure is getting yet another installment. The publisher announced a fifth entry to the series, in celebration for the franchise's 10th anniversary. The franchise made its North American debut in 2005, and had many fans pointing their fingers in the air yelling "Hold it!" While the franchise got its start on the Game Boy Advance in Japan, the games have primarily launched on Nintendo DS here. Capcom didn't reveal any details on protagonist, platform, or timing for the next Ace Attorney game. The first three games, which feature Phoenix Wright, will be getting updated on Android and iOS. The mobile port is being remastered with "higher resolution artwork," according to Andriasang. Anyone that picked up the earlier revisions of the game will be able to downloaded the HD update for free. Here's a screenshot of the high-res sprites in action:

As much as I adore the AA series, I am more curious as to what anti-consumer DRM they'll put into this game? I wouldn't put it past them to allow you to go through each case only a limited amount of times before you have to rebuy.

I hope that these, along with Ghost Trick iOS and AAI2 get a US localization.

Seems silly that ghost trick never got released on iOS in the states since it already has a us translation on DS. My guess is that it's got to be some sort of arrangement with Nintendo. As for AAI2, last I heard Chris Svenson said they were looking into a digital release so that they'd have a shot at making some money on it. If it doesn't end up happening I think it will be because some one holding the purse strings will say that they will make more money focusing manpower on something else.
