Silent Hill: HD Collection rated for XBLA and PSN in Europe
by Jeff Mattas, Jan 26, 2012 7:00pm PSTKonami Digital Entertainment's bundled high-definition remakes of the original Silent Hill games are planned for a March release at retail for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Now, it appears as though the games included in the Silent Hill: HD Collection are likely to see individual digital releases on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well, at least in Europe.
The European game ratings entity known as PEGI has recently rated both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 for both Sony and Microsoft's current generation of consoles.
Industry news site Siliconera also points out that Konami's Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection received similar treatment, with Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: PeaceWalker all receiving individual digital HD releases on the PlayStation Network in Japan. Those digital releases are also slated to hit on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network in North America sometime in 2012.
The North American retail release of the Silent Hill: HD Collection is slated for a March 6 release.
