Hitman: Sniper Challenge trademarked

Square Enix has trademarked "Hitman: Sniper Challenge," yet another new addition after the mysterious "Hitman: Profession" trademark from last month.

Even with Hitman: Absolution on the way and a mysterious trademark popping up recently for Hitman: Profession, yet another Hitman trademark has been registered. Now "Hitman: Sniper Challenge" is the latest franchise-related something, leading to the inevitable question: what's going on with Hitman?

Siliconera caught the trademark, filed two days ago by Square Enix. Like most trademark applications, the details are almost non-existent. When Square and IO Interactive announced Absolution, it mentioned a plan to "expand the vision for the Hitman franchise."

Given that, it seems safe to speculate that this probably doesn't mean three separate big-budget Hitman releases. Given the emphasis on challenging sniping, it seems likely the "Sniper Challenge" will be a mobile or social offering.

I would think it might be something more like a motion-control exclusive.

Something like 'Link's crossbow training', for the Move / Wii / Kinect?
