Dance Central 'Dance Cam' app goes live
by Andrew Yoon, Jan 20, 2012 7:00am PSTDance Central players now have a companion app that lets them keep their groove wherever they go. Available for Windows Phone, iOS, and Android, the Dance Central "Dance Cam" app lets you preview tracks from Dance Central 2, practice moves, and even record yourself dancing.
When you record a performance, the Dance Cam will automatically "dancify" the routine into "a fun personalized music video, combining your dance moves." You can then share the ridiculousness on Facebook and even challenge friends to a mobile dance battle. After a battle is completed, the app will create a mash-up video of both performances, automatically embarrassing both participants on Facebook.
The Dance Cam currently features the following songs:
- Atlantic Connection and Armanni Reign – “Reach”
- Electric Valentine – “Body To Body”
- Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull – “I Like It”
- Far East Movement – “Like A G6”
- La Roux – “Bulletproof”
- Montell Jordan – “This Is How We Do It”
- Sean Kingston – “Fire Burning”
You can download the Windows Phone version here. The iOS version is and the Android version is here.
