The list of non-gaming apps for Vita continues to grow. In addition to Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, Skype, and Foursquare, one more app has been announced today: Flickr. It's available to download right now if you have a Japanese system, making it likely that the photo-sharing service will be available for the US launch.

The app is developed by Sony, not Flickr or Yahoo, suggesting that Sony is open to developing additional third-party apps for the Vita. With the app, you'll be able to view photos from Flickr users around the world, leave comments, mark favorites, and even share your own photos. You'll be able to take pictures with the Vita cameras and share them with the world... even if the image quality is less than ideal.

With growing app support and built-in 3G for the premium model, the Vita is resembling a smart phone more and more every day. Will this feature set help it compete against the 3DS, iPhone, and Android?
