Uncharted 3 'Flashback Map Pack' available today, Fortune Hunters Club expanded
by Andrew Yoon, Jan 17, 2012 10:00pm PSTAre you still playing Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode? Naughty Dog teased the first map pack for the game over two months ago--and the release is finally happening today. The "Flashback Map Pack" contains four maps from Uncharted 2's multiplayer mode, re-rendered with new lighting effects, new particle effects, and "a slew of technical changes."
Cave, Fort, Lost City, and Sanctuary will be available as part of the Fortune Hunters Club DLC season pass, or as a standalone purchase for $9.99.
While this may be the first significant update for Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode, Sony confirmed to Shacknews that the add-on will not introduce new Trophies.
The Fortune Hunter Club is also being expanded a bit more. The $24.99 season pass was originally going to offer 7 packs which would cost about $45 separately. The PlayStation.Blog notes that the season pass is now being expanded to offer 14 total packs which would cost about $62 if purchased separately.
Future releases will include character skins, including the "Rogues Pack" and "Donut Pack." Naughty Dog is also teasing future DLC with this screenshot (above), featuring Lazarveic. From the looks of things, this appears to be a new co-op adventure. Naughty Dog had previously promised that no single-player content would be released via DLC.
