Microsoft and Epic Games released the third major DLC pack for Gears of War 3 today, Fenix Rising. The pack includes five new multiplayer maps related to the life of protagonist Marcus Fenix, along with four skins, and a new experience system that lets you rank up multiple times for rewards.

The pack will cost you $10 (800 MSP), and is included as part of the Gears 3 Season Pass. Maps include Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation, and the Slab. You can also gussy yourself up as Clayton, Thrashball Cole (Limited Edition), Savage Marauder, and Savage Kantus (Limited Edition) for use in the multiplayer modes.

With this pack, you can also "Re-up" upon reaching level 100, starting from scratch and earning new wings color each time: red, green, then gold. You'll also unlock custom weapon skins that can't be found any other way. Your TrueSkill rating will remain, so you can't use this to stomp on unwitting Level 1 players.

If you did happen to snag the Season Pass, you have one more remaining pack coming to you after this one. It's the third after the Horde Command Pack and RAAM's Shadow. You can still buy the full Season Pass for $30 (2400 MSP), which saves you 33% on buying each individually.
