Mortal Kombat coming to Vita, includes DLC characters
by Andrew Yoon, Jan 17, 2012 9:00am PSTMortal Kombat is coming to the PlayStation Vita, and if the box art is any indication, it will be based off the "Komplete Edition" of the game, which includes every DLC character out of the box. The Vita box art shows off the PlayStation-exclusive character Kratos, in addition to DLC characters Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy Krueger.
NetherRealm Studios is promising new features "exclusively" for the Vita version, but teases that they will be revealed "in the coming months."
"The NetherRealm team is committed to making sure that we follow up the success of 2011’s Mortal Kombat with an equally compelling experience on the PlayStation Vita," Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios, said in a press release. "The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform."
