Publisher Ignition Entertainment and developer Denki have announced Quarrel is making its Xbox Live Arcade debut on January 25. The "word-based strategy game" was originally available on the iOS platform, but is coming in an enhanced edition to the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft Points.

Though the game will retain the look and style found in the iOS version, Quarrel on the Xbox Live Arcade will exclusively feature online-only multiplayer for 2 to 4 players.

Xbox Live Arcade was the original destination for the game; however, financial issues forced Denki to scale back its staff, Joystiq noted in its post revealing the price and release date. Eventually, Ignition Entertainment stepped in as publisher to help the game launch, deciding to first release the game on the iOS platform.

Here's hoping when they use the "Official Scrabble Dictionary" this time it is the AMERICAN version, and not the frikking ENGLISH version. Getting beat because you don't know what "Slodding" is, or some other obscure Scottish slang term that no one in the UK knows, much less the rest of the world sucks.
