It was one of my favorite releases of 2011. The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection bundled two PS2 classics and restored them in beautiful 720p and 30fps. In a year filled with HD re-releases, this bundle easily stood out as the best.

If, for some reason, the $40 asking price was a bit too high for you, you'll be able to get the games piecemeal via the PlayStation Network next week.

On January 17th, Sony will be releasing the HD remastered versions of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus individually on the PlayStation Store for $20 each. While this will be a more accessible way of approaching these classic games, note that the PSN re-release won't include the special features that were bundled on the Blu-ray version of the game.

Finally! I had the mistaken thought that most games you could just buy on the network and download, and I was looking for this bundle for a while before I figured out you had to buy the physical copy.
