At least from what I saw, it seemed more like an open-world game than Fable has been, but I could be wrong.

Just to be clear not better than Skyrim just as cool in it own way a epic RPG, I have a real good feeling.

I predict this game will be forgotten very, very quickly. It looks fun, but it suffers from Skyrim's shadow. I have a feeling that the world they've built for Amalur just won't be enough after playing Skyrim. The Bombcasters' impressions of it being 'naturally' linear (huge looking areas fenced in with impassible mountains, etc) doesn't really fill me with confidence, either.

                                    Combat looks interesting, at least.

everything about the game is generic. the name, the art, the features. EA hasnt marketed this like their other games. and february tends to be a slow month. but i hope it does well because i would like more games like this

No worries we will see, I have this crazy idea it could be better than Skyrim or as good(which just sounds dumb to say that is not a easy thing to do) I have no idea why but I go this feeling. The game it self has great talent working on it from all sides, and the dev videos and features look really cool, do not know how it will play. Once I get will let you guys know, already pre ordered it a while ago.

I really hope I am not disappointed, please please be good.

That just looks...bad. I think there were some games circa 2003 with graphics better than that.

I, too, was a bit underwhelmed at the texturing and art-style. It reminds me of a less-good, less-colorful World of Warcraft art-style. Hmm...still, the gameplay seems cool.

Strangely enough, the UI looks really good (imho) and almost seems like it was made specifically for PC (sharp smaller text and the way stuff is arranged)...while the game's main graphics are (again) fairly bland, by the looks of it.

What's Big Huge Games' role in this? are they handling the ports or co-developing?

The game is developed by BHG, which is owned by 38.

You can replace the voice over in that video with a Skyrim video and it would still make perfect sense.

But never heard of this game though. Anyway EA = insta-no-buy.

This is completely meaningless, and they might as well just cancel the PC version now if they are going to force it onto Origin and not sale it on Steam.
