Mortal Kombat 'Komplete Edition' announced
by Steve Watts, Jan 09, 2012 7:45am PSTIf nothing else, the past few years have taught us that patience pays off. Most big-budget games with downloadable content will eventually get it all packaged together, and last year's Mortal Kombat is no exception. WB Games and NetherRealm Studios announced the 'Komplete Edition' today, confirming earlier rumors.
Included in the box is the game, naturally, along with a bevy of DLC. You'll get all four downloadable characters (Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, Freddy Krueger), 15 Klassic skins and three Klassic Fatalities. You'll also get digital downloads of the Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album and the 1995 Mortal Kombat film. The digital offerings would be available through the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Zune, depending on your platform of choice. The game will be released on February 28.
The reboot received critical and commercial success, and stood out this year for fighting aficianados. If you missed out, waiting for the 'Komplete' version might be a good idea.
