Noby Noby Boy reaches Uranus

Namco Bandai's Noby Noby Boy is a curious "game." The downloadable PS3 thing was the last release from Katamari creator Keita Takahashi. It asked players to simply toy around with an incredibly stretchy creature. There was no way to "win," and there were no goals to pursue. However, the collective efforts of the online community would help Noby Noby Girl continue to grow and reach distant planets.

Last week, Noby Noby Boy players reached Uranus.

The accomplishment is quite remarkable. In the game, distances are real: meaning the distance between Saturn and Uranus is significantly greater than the distance from Earth to Mars, for example. It's taken 1045 days of play for the community to reach Uranus. How much longer will it take to reach the next planet, Neptune?

The accomplishment was captured on YouTube by DoctorThor98 (via Kotaku). Perhaps reaching this new planet will help inspire you to re-join the boy-stretching online community?
