Crystal Dynamics is developing its much-publicized Tomb Raider reboot, but the developer has something else up its sleeve for this year as well. Community manager Meagan Marie confirmed that the studio's other project will be unveiled sometime this year.

"The New Year ushers in more than just fresh calendars and renewed resolutions. 2012 will prove to be a very exciting year for Crystal Dynamics, more so than any in recent memory," Marie said.

"Not only will our team be eating, sleeping, and breathing Tomb Raider, but we'll also be hard at work preparing to reveal exciting new intellectual property to the world," Marie teased in a Square Enix blog post (via VG247).

The news of another property has been circulating since it was mentioned in a podcast last March. Tomb Raider, meanwhile, is set for release this fall.

No more Amy Hennig there though, I'd rather let that series rest some more.

Finally! Since the last generation, they've risked less because of costs. I hope it's as creative as the Legacy of Kain games. Please not post-apocalyptic!
