[Update] EA has confirmed to Shacknews that the pack will cost $2.99.

Nine fly 'signature' rides are coming Need for Speed: The Run as downloadable content next week in the 'Signature Edition Booster Pack.' The tricked-out and tarted-up cars are racing towards Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on December 20, but not PC.

These are the vehicles you'll find in the pack, which EA says can be driven in both The Run and multiplayer:

  • 'Fatlace' Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R

  • 'Venom' Nissan 370Z

  • 'Scoundrel' Subaru WRX STi

  • 'Victory' BMW M3 Sport Evolution

  • 'Conroy' Ford GT

  • 'Puppet' Chevy El Camino

  • 'Nicholas' Mazda RX-7

  • 'Mega' Nissan GT-R

  • 'Falken' Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

EA makes no mention of pricing, so we've dropped it a line to ask what's up.

If you just want to gawp at pretty cars, here's a handful of screenshots and a trailer:

Did this game come out while I was in a Skyrim coma? I thought it was a 2012 release.

Its not that great, if you have Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit then basically don't bother, well unless someone tells me how to disable that mental post effect then I would have to play some more and see how it is longer into the game.

Cool, anyone know how to disable that mental post effect of the blinding sun, you seriously can not fucking drive with it?

Probably one of the worst design effect of the year :( other than that I do like the game, still wish it was Most Wanted style though.

Did anyone buy this? It didn't seem to make any noise at all. The demo was pretty shitty. Such a shame that only every third NFS or so is good.
