Nintendo 3DS GBA Ambassador line-up revealed internationally
by Steve Watts, Dec 14, 2011 3:00pm PSTNintendo hasn't forgotten about the remaining half of its 3DS Ambassador program. The company has announced the remaining freebies, and they're nothing to sneeze at. On top of the ten NES games for early adopters, ten Game Boy Advance titles are en route.
Europe and Japan have revealed their games, and the US lineup is likely to be the same. The five additions to the line-up run the gamut of Nintendo franchises: Wario Land 4, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity.
Those are on top of the five GBA games mentioned in the initial announcement: Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare Inc: Mega Microgame$, and Mario vs Donkey Kong.
These games will be available in Europe and Japan on Friday. Nintendo of America has yet to confirm if these selections will also be available at that time. The previous Ambassador games released simultaneously worldwide. We've contacted Nintendo of America, but have yet to receive confirmation. So far, Nintendo's website simply states that "The Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games will launch before the end of 2011."
As previously reported, the GBA games lack a Virtual Console Suspend and Restore Point function, and you can't put them into Sleep Mode. That means the only way to save your progress is to save the game normally. If you need help figuring out how to download your games, check this out.
