Say it ain't so, Joe!

Even though indie developer Hello Games' upcoming Joe Danger: The Movie isn't due until some time next year, the developer recently revealed that it will be the intrepid stuntman's final outing.

Joe Danger first appeared as a PSN exclusive back in June of 2010, but is poised to make his debut on the Xbox 360, along with a bunch of extra content, next week in a "Special Edition." Hello Games founder Sean Murray revealed the information during this week's IGN UK Podcast, and clarified why Mr. Danger is going on indefinite leave.

"That will be our last Joe Danger thing from us," he said. "We're only doing The Movie because we had a good idea for it. We wanted to explore [the Joe Danger concept] in every way possible, but then we're done with that idea."

"We don't want to be a studio that just does one game and flogs it, even though many people have suggested we should do," he further explained.

As of yet, there's no word what Hello Games will work on once The Movie is completed, but we'll keep an eye out. Next week, on December 14, Joe Danger: Special Edition launches (itself off a ramp) for Xbox Live Arcade, priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).
