Dynasty Warriors Next confirmed for Vita launch
by Steve Watts, Dec 09, 2011 8:00pm PSTThe previously announced Dynasty Warriors Vita game has been given an official title and North American release date. Dubbed "Dynasty Warriors Next," the game is set to hit our shores on February 22, alongside the domestic launch of the Vita itself.
The game uses a mix of traditional button controls along with Vita features like the front touch-screen, rear touch-pad, and motion sensor for combat.
Touching the map lets you command subordinates, while touching a base captures it with a "Direct Break" and shaking the system makes for more powerful attacks. You can connect with other players to play "Conquest Mode" or 4-player ad-hoc co-op "Coalition Mode." Finally, the game boasts 65 playable characters, and brings back the "Edit Mode" to let you create your own.
