DmC: Devil May Cry gameplay trailers galore

Several minutes of Dante stabbing faces and leaping around are on show in a pair of DmC - Devil May Cry gameplay trailers.

If you look at it one way, a pair of new DmC: Devil May Cry gameplay trailers show the new Dante stabbing faces and jumping around hostile animate architecture. From another angle, though, it can be seen as a powerful metaphor for how youth violence and vandalism are tearing our cities apart. The wonders of interpretation, ladies and gentlemen!

DmC: Devil May Cry is in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory, slated for launch next year.

The first of the two trailers released by publisher Capcom today is actually a little old, showing off the stage demo from the 2011 Tokyo Game Show. Expect several minutes of defeating demons/terrorising innocent civilians.

Then here's the new trailer, which sees the city rent asunder as Dante gallivants around without a care in the world. Honestly, the youth of today!

I know I'm in the minority, but I can't wait for this one. I played the hell out of the other 4, so I'm sold.

3 is my fav, so I would like to have them feed this one into where part 3 starts. Also can't wait for the HD remix this February.

Combat wise, it looks like they combined Nero and Dante, so we shall see.

I did like the white hair, so I would like to see that come in as you get further into the game.

I played DMC for the first time on my 360. I loved it but was annoyed when the characters switched up and I had to relearn the combat. It was really annoying, because of that I never finished the game. It didn't help that you basically go through the same areas when you switch to Dante.

The repeat of levels is a Capcom thing for sure. Resident evil backtracking, DMC, and Viewtiful Joe level repeats. I guess for these games I have come to expect it, but I can see a lot of new comers not liking it.
