The Amazing Spider-Man will mark the latest outing for everyone's favorite arachni-hero, and a new teaser trailer for the game has just been released.Announced back in October, the Activision-published title is being developed by Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions developer Beenox Studios, and will begin its story where the upcoming feature film leaves off.

The tease of the game's first trailer, though brief, shows a bit of Spidey in action. The complete trailer--which debuted back at a Marvel panel at this year's New York Comic Con--will air during the Spike TV 2011 Video Game Awards on December 10.

Unspecified improvements to navigation and combat are promised, as well as a mysterious new "Web Rush" mechanic which is only described as something that "allows players to pull off a vast array of moves never before possible."

Planned for a summer 2012 launch, The Amazing Spider-Man is being developed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, and 3DS.

Beenox should stick with what made Shattered Dimensions great, the open-world aspect and tons of collectables with the excellent voice acting.

Edge of Time had a real cool presentation and voice acting but the gameplay was very repetitive and there was virtually no web slinging. The game took place in a very confined space and it just seemed so weird to not to web sling around and zip around.
