Activision introduced a brand new revenue stream by launching Call of Duty Elite, a premium subscription service for gamers that are addicted to the COD franchise. So, what's EA doing? It's launching the T-Club, a premium service for Tetris addicts.

Debuting with today's updated release of Tetris for iOS, the T-Club is available for $2.99 a month, or $29.99 a year. But what does a subscription get you?

The T-Club is described as "the only Tetris fan club to give members exclusive access to new mobile challenges and content." Finally! New ways of experiencing blocks falling from the top of the screen. Membership will also unlock "exclusive discounts and content," in addition to "premium Tetris Log challenges." Finally, the T-Club will allow players to boost their Tetris Rank faster.

Unlike Call of Duty Elite, T-Club's offering seem much more vague. Without knowing exactly what kind of content you're paying for, the membership fee seems exclusively designed for gamers that simply need to have their arbitrary ranking go up faster. Next-Gen notes that over 100 million people have purchased Tetris on mobile devices--so T-Club can be quite a profitable venture if it appeals to even a fraction of a percentage of players.
