It appears that PlayStation's North America team has lost two additional members of its executive staff. According to a report, VP of marketing Scott Steinberg and senior VP of publisher relations Rob Dyer have left Sony Computer Entertainment America.
Earlier this year, senior marketing and PlayStation Network VP Peter Dille left SCEA to join mobile advertising network Tapjoy.
According to IndustryGamers, SCEA has yet to name a replacement for either position. One source reportedly informed the publication that Steinberg was "escorted out by security" after being let go, but SCEA told IG that he actually resigned from the position.
Steinberg joined Sony in 2007, following his time in a VP role with Sega of America. Dyer had previously served as president of Eidos for a number of years before joining SCEA. During the highly publicized PSN outage, Dyer was responsible for assuaging third-party company concerns.
Shacknews has contacted Sony to confirm the resignations of both Dyer and Steinberg as well. We have also contacted Zynga to confirm reports of Dyer's move, but no comment was offered at the time of publishing.
