Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD launching at $15
by Andrew Yoon, Nov 30, 2011 3:30pm PSTOddworld: Stranger's Wrath is getting much more than your typical HD treatment. Developer Just Add Water is redoing many of the game's textures and character models. In fact, thanks to various improvements made by the developer, the game has ballooned in size, from 1.9GB in its original Xbox-era state, to 3.2GB.
While there's still no release date for the game other than "soon," everything else you need to know about the game has been released.
“When we started this project the original title was 1.9GB in size, however with the various upgrades and additions we’ve done, it’s grown to 3.2GB,” Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray told TheSixthAxis. The game's hefty size is one of the reasons why it won't arrive on Xbox Live Arcade.
The remade game will cost $14.99 when it launches. And although it may be a downloadable title, it will don a Platinum Trophy, good news for those that enjoy achievements on the PS3.
A full list of changes made to the updated game can be found here.
