The latest Humble Bundle, featuring titles from developer Introversion Games, has just had two choice new items added to its offer.

New purchasers that beat the paltry current average price of $3.72 will also earn Dungeons of Dredmor, "a comic roguelike dungeon crawler game from Gaslamp Games." Humble Introversion Bundle customers also gain access to the source code for the indie hits Darwinia, Multiwinia, Defcon, and Uplink: Hacker Elite. Past purchasers of the bundle will also be offered the bonus wares, regardless of their donation.

Already included with Humble Bundle purchases over the average price are the titles Aquaria and Crayon Physics Deluxe. The bundle offer is still valid for the next seven days. Thus far, over 135,000 bundles have been purchased for just over $502,924.

Oh, right, I wanted to pick this up just for the Introversion toys/demos. (I already have all the games except Crayon Physics and Multiwinia.)

Boo, source code is more like an SDK for those games. The license agreement prohibits using the code outside of the game itself.

That's great. Dredmore is easily in my top 10 this year.

Woot! I hope you like the new stuff coming in the next few patches :D (I'm the post-release / expansion pack animator for Dredmor)

Are you really? Oh man dude, that makes my day. I was kind of expecting more patches (well, balance just a bit here and there) and then nothing happened. But now I know more is coming! And the animation is one of my favorite parts!

This is just lots of great.

I'll say straight-up here that I work remotely so I dunno the exact plans, but here's what's been publically stated:

1.0.7 will have the female protagonist and tons of skill rebalancing.

1.0.8 is the expansion update, which is in two parts; Core 1.0.8 which goes to everyone (New abilities for existing skilltrees, Deadshot skill removed, UI updates, other things that I'm not sure about because I don't have the list). And Expansion 1.0.8 which is the likely-ridiculously-cheap expansion pack which will include, at minimum, A zillion new items, 10 new monsters, 6 new skill trees, and 5 new floors.

And you have my axe sale!

That's super exciting. So is this your first big project, or have you done other game work?

I'd say this is the first time I've worked on a game that's known in any sense. Before this I did mostly contracting for small companies, like facebook games, iphone games, etc. Oh, I also did a scene that was cut from the creepy GDC OnLive announcement where that lady's face was telling you how awesome the graphics are on streaming media.

Oh yeah 1.0.7 has Mod Support. I forgot to mention that.

It makes me sad that Introversion are only getting 25% of the sales from the 'Introversion bundle.'
At the moment the default split gives the same amount of money to 'Dungeons of Dredmor' as it does to Introversion, despite introversion offering 4 games and Gaslamp only offering 1.

There's no way you can be sure of that. I myself removed the charities, so Introversion got like 75% and Humble Bundle the other 25%. However, even if they did get "only" 25%, that'd still be more than $100k in revenue for pretty much zero work (the games were already made, free promotion, etc.).
