The new version of GLSetup has finally been released which will detect the 3D accelerator you have and automatically select/download the correct OpenGL driver for your accelerator card. Here is the list of neeto new features:

- Web GLSetup: download a tiny stub program that will detect and only download the drivers you need...no more forced 33MB mega-download. - Driver Update Registration: GLSetup will email you when new drivers for your 3D hardware are available. - Finally Full 3dfx Support: GLSetup now supports all the 3dfx chipsets, in addition to the other chipsets from all major 3D hardware vendors, with more added all the time.

  • I\'m running Windows 98 on a PII 400 (IBM Aptiva E6U), and it sometimes crashes more than 5 times in 15 minutes. Sometimes it can\'t even finish booting before it freezes. I haven\'t installed any strange and unusual software, nor have I tweaked the settings much. I used to have a 486/50 with Win95, and it was more stable, and things like Windows Explorer and MS-DOS Prompts were a lot faster to launch and use.

And as for GLSetup, whenever I try and download either the Webenabled setup or the full monster download, I get a 400 Error from the server.

some of those damn hard ware freaks has to use nt cuz they are using dual celeron or p2 or even the p3\'s...
i feel sorry if you just HAVE to have 2 processors when the performance gain in games is ONLY 10%-20%
ya its good at compiling but i\'d rather pay for 2 celeron systems instead of getting NT on one computer with 2 celerons..
and once a week is ok ehe
mine usually goofs up crashes or just plain FUCKS UP once a day..
    win98 (VERY first edition)
and its alot better than win95 i had on another computer that would crash and crash and crash..
then again every one is differnt.. eheh
