Since release, Daikatana hasnt gotten much attention around here. I figure you guys might be interested in this interview with The Romero for something to read this evening. John comments on all the bad reviews Daikatana has been getting as well as this:

Q: What do you think about the future of games like Doom III(2k whatever), Wolfenstein return to castle, Max Payne and others, do you think any of these games will cause an revolution in the 3D gaming industry? JR: I don't see anything revolutionary in those games, I mainly see the potential for a lot of fun when they're released.

the ra3 "beta" wasn't a beta at ALL
it was a test of the server code

the ra3 team converted q2dm1 and q2dm8 to q3 engine (same textures, sounds, geometry, etc) and let people run around it

there were 2 servers... about 250 people trying to get on both of them

I was getting 60% pl

btw, I got 20,000 exp pts in diablo2 today :D
