Serious Sam 3: BFE video shows two minutes of alien-fragging game action

Serious Sam 3: BFE hit PC earlier this week and if you've been waiting to see if it rocked, watch this video with two minutes of the game in action.

Serious Sam 3: BFE arrived for PC on Direct2Drive, GetGames, and Steam earlier this week (it's expected on 360 and PS3 any time now as well). If you haven't picked it up yet and were wondering whether it still rocked, nothing beats seeing for yourself. This video shows about two minutes of the game in action with plenty of blood-splattering action shooting up everything from naked bird ladies to the classic headless bomb-toting berserkers. And, as an added bonus, it includes subtitle comments from Devolver Digital's larger-than-life CFO, Fork Parker. At the very least, it will knock out any remaining cobwebs from a post-feast nap.

This game requires MORE LOVE! It is glorious CO-OP! So much shooting, so much insanity, and it looks really nice too.

      Repost from last night:

in a year when a ton of FPSes were released, and a bunch of multiplatform releases fell flat on their PC ports in one way or another (including, unfortunately, Id Software with Rage), Croteam stepped up and KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. This is amazing; it's a tangible example that PC FPS fans can hold up and say, "This is how you make the feature set of a modern PC FPS game!"

It's a shitty video player, just for the reason that you can't use the playback (the play, pause etc buttons) menu while playing.
And it has been like this since the remake of the web.

Way too much nondescript "good" in this thread. Details, people. Mouse code (acc/dec/lag), custom config settings, engine performance, co-op friendliness, weapon feel and balance etc.

There is a check box in the option menu to turn off mouse acceleration. The engine runs well. the weapons feel great and all have their uses. I haven't played co-op yet, but the previous games (HD remakes especially) were awesome fun in co-op.

And the HD games also ran like crap in SLI mode, that's why I'm a bit worried. Only modern game that's done it for me so far, strangely. But otherwise they looked good.

Croteam at least hasn't lost their sense of (twisted) humor.

After this, I'd love to see them do something a little more ambitious.

It's a lot like The First Encounter. It's not as wacky as the Second Encounter.
