While console gamers must brave the frigid cold of a November morning to catch Black Friday deals, PC gamers can sit at home, downloading the best digital deals. Steam has kicked off its "Autumn Sale," which promises new deals every day and "hundreds of deals all weekend."

Highlights from today's daily deals include all three Sam & Max seasons for $12.49, Portal 2 for $10.19, Orcs Must Die for $3.74, and Mass Effect 2 for only $4.99.

The Oddboxx, which includes all four Oddworld games, is also available for only $3.74.

Beyond daily deals, there are catalog deals from various publishers. 2K Games and subsidiary Rockstar Games appear to have cut 33% off most of its titles (excluding new release LA Noire). Riddick is on sale for $5 today, but I just want to recommend to everyone NOT to buy it. I bought it the last time it was on sale (good reviews, enjoyed to original version), but I have never been able to get it to run. No matter what I tried, it continually crashes on me before I get more than 1 level into the menus.

I'm glad I only lost a few bucks on it, but there doesn't seem to be anything more I can do. There's a big section about it on the Steam Forums...
