I Am Alive development 'started from scratch' by Ubisoft Shanghai

"We started from scratch, but with the same pitch," Ubisoft Shanghai's Aurelian Palasse said, "I don't want to take the point of view that our game's better [than Darkworks'] - but first of all it was a CG, so everything was possible, and it wasn't real gameplay. But we liked the pitch, and we liked the way it felt."
Speaking with Eurogamer, Palasse explained how development of the game has shifted since his studio took over. "First it was a CG trailer," he said "It arrived in Shanghai in 2010, and we decided to make it more realistic." The game, Eurogamer details, now takes shape as a survival title with a focus on traversal and inventory management.
The title, which shifted from a retail product to downloadable, is set to arrive this winter on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
