Skyrim home to hilarious glitches

A few choice glitches seen in Skyrim are keeping us laughing, while we attempt to conquer another province in the land of Tamriel.

As vast and intricate as today's video games are, a few bugs are bound to sneak past testers. As long as they offer entertainment and don't harm our playing experience, we're okay with them happening.

A few choice bugs and glitches have already been seen in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Thankfully, in the age where everyone seems to have their own YouTube-based production company, these problems have been well documented. Our favorite? The case of the sleeping and spinning man.

IGN has a laundry list of wacky glitches, but here are a few select favorites.

Yeah, it's more of an exploit than a glitch, though.

I first saw the barrel on head thing done in that same shop. Guy put barrel on head of shop owner, then kills his sister. Takes barrel off, and the guy is like "meh."

Was collecting witch heads for a quest and got the crap scared out of me. Entered a room in a dungeon and killed the witch and proceeded to pick open a chest and loot it. Turned around to face the headless witch floating in the air. Made me jump :p

I like the one where the giant hit my companion with a club and it was like one of those Strong Man contraptions at a carnival that you smack with a hammer to ring the bell - my companion shot into the air like a rocket. She never came down.

What's the key to interact with in-game objects? I checked the controls section but must have missed it.

Sorry, by interact I mean manipulate. It was Z by default in Oblivion and Fallout 3 I think.

Hold down "E" by default. Only seems to work with items you can pick up.

You mean to actually move em around and stuff physically? You hold down E instead of tapping it.

Read tons of fake fantasy books, be frustrated you don't have a library big enough for them.

Well if that shit would stay on the table I wouldn't be having this problem.

or if there were slutty housemaids, we also wouldn't have this problem.

The cool thing is if you pick up a book it will crack open, for example. I'm pretty sure the interaction is entirely cosmetic but it is also rather clever and polished.

So much of the game is impressive.
