In truth, Minecraft entirely slipped my mind. It's been so long that, well, you don't think of it as not being released, do you?

If I thought Saints Row 3 looked cool, should I even bother with the previous games before playing this one?

If you're interested in the story and the characters, you can start with the first one, but it feels like a poor man's San Andreas. Saints Row 2 is really where the game found its stride, with improved gameplay elements and better side activities. On top of that, Saints Row 2 is where Volition shifted from being the poor man's San Andreas to its current over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek style.

Yeah I agree the first one was good. But the second one you can tell they figured out what they wanted to do with the game.

I wouldn't bother, the reviews say the previous games had a disjointed mess of a story, but 3 ties the story to the gameplay better than the other games. This one is apparently the best of the three.
