Assassin's Creed Recollection detailed
by Steve Watts, Nov 08, 2011 10:15am PSTUbisoft teased the iOS game Assassin's Creed Recollection, but didn't share many details on how exactly the game would play. Apparently, the game is a hybrid CCG and board game, all squeezed into a digital format.
Ubisoft calls the hybrid a "real-time board game." Players construct a deck before each battle, and then use them to attack or take territories in battle. The game loops on a continuous timeline to determine player turns.
IGN reports that Ubisoft promises an 8-10 hour story mode spanning various settings from the Assassin's Creed series. Multiplayer lets you take on your friends in head-to-head battles, and buying the game nets you a free copy of the animated short film Assassin's Creed Embers.
The short teaser-trailer refers to the release date as "holiday 2011," and no further release details were disclosed. Assassin's Creed Revelations, the next main chapter in the series, launches next week for PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, with the PC version following in December.
