More Uncharted games likely, given series' success
by Jeff Mattas, Oct 28, 2011 4:30pm PDTIt probably won't come as much of a surprise given the runaway success of the series, but Uncharted 3 director Justin Richmond recently confirmed that series protagonist Nathan Drake still has some untold adventures in store. The latest, Drake's Deception, isn't due out until November 1, but a number of very positive pre-release reviews--including Xav's recent assessment here on Shacknews--have been very positive.
"There are a ton of Drake adventures out there and we haven't told all of them yet," Richmond told the Official PlayStation Magazine UK (via IGN) in a video interview. "As long as fans want the games and as long as we find something that's interesting and will push the medium forward, we'll continue to make them."
He added, "But we haven't decided at all what the next thing is."
Naughty Dog wants to continue to push the envelope for interactive action-adventure storytelling, but knows where to draw the line. In other words, don't expect to see "Drake in Space" anytime soon.
