I've read all those books mentioned and while I read Starship Troopers back in the 70's and really liked it, Armor was the best version of this story. (forever war was really good too tho it wouldnt translate well onscreen). For a movie, the parts of Armor dealing with the war would make a great movie OR game and you DOOM guys who want to face endless hordes of enemies should like it.

The book was a totally different story, really..but not one that would transfer to game well...I remember playing a bogus game based on the book on a TRS-80, back in the early 80's... but the best adaptation I've played so far is the Avalon Hill board game which would prob best be suited for a C&C-type interface (w/ Terrans, Skinnies, and Bugs)...
which kinda looks like what they're going for, in a 3D way. Problem is, look at all those "Bug classes" on the first page...Yucky!!!!..I can feel RAH having a seizure in his grave right now...

After a thorough analyzation of the renders (actually, I just glanced over them), I've come to the conclusion that these renders, in fact, are part of the original production. Its supposed to be some sort of third person game where you run around and do a bunch of boring shit. The movie was pukable, at best.

You didnt like Starship troopers? Wtf?! How could you not like a movie with gigantic space bugs biting marines and half? Throw in a gratuitous boobie scene and 2 f-in hot chickies and you have the feel good movie of the... err... 90's.
