How can any adult be excited about Nintendo's properties? I mean really it's the same rehashed properties over and over. I can totally understand growing up with Nintendo and loving the characters but at some point it's time to move on.

How many versions of Mario and Zelda can you put up with?

It's smart for Nintendo to re-release updated versions of these games for new generations of children but how many times can you pay for and play basically the same thing you played as a child?

I for one have no interest in anything Nintendo is currently doing.

They should keep doing as Sega has done. Making money off of past properties and leave the innovation to the companies that are interested in doing so.

Say something bad about Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2. Seriously, just one thing.

It's not that their bad games, it's just that their design (other then the gameplay\platforming aspect) hasn't evolved with times. no Mario game I've played has featured an interesting story or a compelling narrative or even memorable characters; their strictly about getting from point a to b, bypassing obstacles and collecting collectables. such games used to entertain me when i was younger but today i want games that feature story's where i, as the audience, can invest in.

Ok, so the only difference b/w you and I is that I count the Super Mario Galaxy series and the Mass Effect series as some of the best, if not the best games, of this generation. You would, presumably, cite only the latter?

You want a compelling narrative from a Mario game?

Guess not, I don't think the franchise's DNA can accommodate something like that.

Guess what? Not every game has to be an epic, lots of games force a story on you that shouldn't exist. I'm sorry you feel limited to them as a lot of fun can be had outside of that. Also, that critique doesn't work very well towards any Zelda game since ALttP.

Why should you feel sorry? If i cannot derive the same level of enjoyment from a Mario title the same as you do, it just shows that the game doesn't make the same impression on me. I guess in the end it all comes down to individual taste, if someone enjoys Nintendo's games that's perfectly fine and same should go for someone who doesn't.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was pretty radically different from when I played Super Mario Brothers as a child.

Besides, the gameplay is always tight.

Also this: "They should keep doing as Sega has done. Making money off of past properties and leave the innovation to the companies that are interested in doing so" sounds an awful lot like what Nintendo already does... except their games don't keep getting worse and worse.

If you've got no interest, don't buy them. But why question myself and others who still enjoy them?

Capcom was not kidding when they said Phoenix Wright will be a unique character in Ultimate.

These mods for HL2 are usually very good but this one seems like a bad Left 4 Dead.
