Free Space Marine 'Exterminatus' co-op DLC launches
by Jeff Mattas, Oct 25, 2011 5:00pm PDTIt might be time to slip into some power armor again and dust off your chainsword again--this time, with friends. some As promised, Relic Entertainment has released free co-op DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine today, called 'Exterminatus.' Available now for PC and PlayStation 3, the press release notes that the Xbox 360 version of the content will be available "soon."
A new trailer for said 'Exterminatus' mode accompanies the launch, showing off the game's three classes--Assault, Devastator, and Tatical Marines--fending off waves of the Orkish horde. Experience earned while playing the two co-op maps--called "Assault on Hab Center Andreas" and "Escape From Kalkys Facility" contributes to the running XP total for multiplayer unlocks, which also means you'll retain access to perks and weapons unlocked while playing the game's competitive multiplayer modes.
Here's the announcement trailer, of which I'm sure the Emperor would approve.
