Batman Beyond skin is NOS bonus

Cans and bottles of NOS grant you a code to the Batman Beyond skin in Batman: Arkham City. Drink up.

You may be holding your sparkling new copy of Batman: Arkham City right now, but thinking to yourself, "Gee, I wish Batman looked more like a short-lived 90s spin-off cartoon." Well sir, you are strange; but also, you are one energy drink away from having your wish granted. The Batman Beyond skin can be gained for a single bottle of NOS.

The NOS site (via Joystiq) lets you pop a cap and enter a code for rewards, one of which is Batman Beyond. The skin can be used once you've completed the main story and in the Challenge Maps. So if you want to imagine your New Game Plus playthrough involves a time-traveling, barrel-chested Terry McGinnis from the future, done and done.

It wasn't exactly clear how to get this skin before, since Rocksteady's complicated skin scheme didn't list a US release. Like the myriad other skins, this one is being offered early through NOS, but that won't be your only chance. All of the skins are timed exclusives, so Rocksteady is sure to bundle them together sometime down the line.

Yeah this is why I'm waiting until after the new year to pick up Arkham City. Once this stuff is available through a normal DLC channel then I'll be interested.

Same here, I've got a backlog of games and not much time to play them. I loved the first one, but it's not going to kill me to wait a few months more.

screw dlc, just wait for the GOTY edition. It's crap like this that prevents me from caring about buying the game new..you miss out on bonuses regardless of where you buy the damn thing.

goddamn it I want that skin, if I was 100% sure I'd get it in a bottle I'd actually buy a bottle of that nasty swill, but for a 'chance'?

although it's prolly not even available in Canada

Meh. McGinnis was never as cool, smooth or plan for anything ready as Wayne. Although the image here looks better than the animated series.

No he wasn't; he was a pretty okay rebel-teen cutout though. i enjoyed the grandpa wayne/sonny mcginnis dynamic. batman being a crotchety old man is a natural fit.

not according to the Batman Beyond universe he's not, just similar motivations. McInnis' Dad was killed when he was a teenager

Well, actually he is. In the JLU followup to Batman Beyond it was revealed his dad's gametes had been rewritten and he basically was Wayne's son, though neither he nor his parents nor Wayne knew it.

This is true. Track down the JLU episode "Epilogue", which was originally meant to tie everything together and bring all of Bruce Timm's shows full circle. The episode even ends exactly the way that the first episode of Batman: The Animated Series began.

Did you see the Justice League Unlimited episode that was the real Batman Beyond ending? Because that sealed Terry as being awesome for me.

Well, and my love of some big old Amanda Waller. Man DC needs to make her fat again.

I really hope she stress eats up to her old weight.

This would be a really awesome Grant Morrison / Frank Quitely miniseries.

You can get the Burt Ward skin from a code found in 1 out of every 2,000,000 Wonka Bars bought in Sri Lanka on alternate Thursdays.

Is this Burt Ward now? if so they just have to render an enormous yellow and green blob.

this skin and the one from the animated series both look bad, wtf. the styles just don't translate well into this game trying to be super detailed.

Bruce Wayne also wore the suit before McGinnis. And he looked bigger in it.

I have an extra code if anyone of you guys want it. Im not going to drink 15 of these things to put the "Keep Drifting" bumper sticker on the wifes purple cobalt, so no reason keeping them.

If you still have an extra code I'd be VERY grateful to have it. Beyond is my favorite version of Batman so this suit is definatly a must have. Thanks in advance.
