Double Fine's downloadable title Iron Brigade, which was originally named Trenched at launch, is getting some strange downloadable content. "Rise of the Martian Bear" pits players against a new breed of evil: the consciousness of the game's final boss Vlad, transferred into his pet bear before being defeated.

Screens from Rise of the Martian Bear DLC

Following the transference, Vlad (or Bear Vlad, if you're keeping track) escapes to Mars in order to regroup and rebuild his army of evil. If we had a nickle every time this happened, am I right? Iron Brigade is also getting refreshed with free objective-based, survival mode. No release date has been revealed for the "Rise of the Martian Bear" DLC.

Do you remember the time I knew a bear from Mars?

So wait, is this getting renamed in all territories now? Or only in Europe?

All territories. Partially for standardization, partially because the same company that has the board game "Trench" rights in EU also filed in the US for trademark, and likely will have pushed the issue here as well.

It's getting changed in the US because of Microsoft. The game can't be played multiplayer if the name is different across territories.
