New XIII game coming to PC, iOS

A new XIII game has been announced for PC, Mac, and iOS devices. It is due out in November.

Ubisoft's XIII didn't set the world on fire when it debuted on PS2 and Xbox in 2003. Eight years later, a new publisher is taking a stab at the comic book property with a new game coming to PC, Mac, and iOS devices. The tease implies a November release date, but doesn't give further details.

Gamasutra reports that the game promises to "go back to the XIII conspiracy origins." The story of the comics revolves around an amnesiac protagonist named XIII who discovers a conspiracy to form a coup in the United States.

The new game comes from French publisher Anuman Interactive. The company has mostly made PC titles and iPhone apps, so this seems right up their alley. The company announced plans for a New York City office to assist in US distribution last year, so we may see this game hit our shores.

Very underrated. It's a pretty solid shooter with interesting weapons, some humor and a nice style of its own. Cliffhanger ending, though, as it was supposed to get a sequel which didn't happen. Hopefully this'll be good.

      Get the original on GoG.

It was a very generic shooter with terrible AI and terrible stealth missions. Story was based on Kennedy assassination conspiracy. you couldn't get more generic or mediocre than this game was. Cell shading was ugly and lazy... and not stylish other than a few special kills. This game was not underrated.

Not to mention that the controls were essentially a port from the PS2 version (you only had "previous weapon" and "next weapon", and the mousecode was crap), and the voice acting from David Duchovny was TERRIBLE.

I enjoyed the game, but the save system really pissed me off.
